Assemble Maintenance Technician

We have partnered with a large manufacturing company in the Sparta, IL area to provide them with an Assembly Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities of the Assembly Maintenance Technician: 

• Provides technical support for all machining and assembly operations, including training of operators in areas of machine adjustment and preventative maintenance
• Maintains and repairs production lines and CNC mills and lathes.
• Maintains system discipline within the team by ensuring quality process procedures, control plans, work instructions, and setup sheets are properly followed and lead by example and respond consistently when presented with a problem.
• Utilizes technical skills effectively to: Facilitate team problem solving, participate in continuous improvement activities, share knowledge and train other team members and work with other department groups on various projects such as prototyping, 8-D, etc.
• Responds to breakdown requests by prioritizing workload to meet customers’ needs. Collaborates with shift leader(s) to prioritize requests.
• Ensures requests for services are properly documented to allow efficient ongoing response to customers’ needs.
• Communicates to supervisor and/or other shift leaders to ensure continuity of ongoing projects, repairs, and maintenance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements of the Assembly Maintenance Technician: 

• HS Diploma/GED REQUIRED --Certificate from a Technical/Trade School preferred
• 3-10 years experience performing maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment--die-cast industry experience a HUGE plus
• Experience with troubleshooting and programming PLC's, CNC machines, and other electronic equipment
• Knowledge and experience troubleshooting and repair of 480v electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems
• Basic machining skills to include milling, grinding, and welding 
• Ability to read blueprint and diagrams
• Great communication skills
• Ability to teach and train others
• Experience with manufacturing ERP systems
• Able to carry up to 50lbs as needed
