The Systems Design Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Company. Role Description:
 
The Medium Range Air Defense Performance Analysis Lead is responsible for supporting the growth of the MRAD product area by providing technical leadership of end-to-end system modeling and simulation activities. The primary MRAD product is National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS), a ground based air defense system compatible with multiple missiles and multiple launcher configurations. The MRAD Performance Analysis Lead’s responsibilities include:

  • Quantify the system performance impacts of new radar, missile, and launcher capabilities proposed to be introduced into NASAMS
  • Lead development and integration of effector models used in NASAMS command and control software and in higher echelon systems
  • Support development of system and component requirement specifications 
  • Support development of updated NASAMS concepts of operation (CONOPS)
  • Support integration and test of Threat Evaluation and Weapons Assignment (TEWA) algorithms
 
Required skills:
  • Expertise in Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) systems or similar systems comprised of command/control, communications, radar, and effectors
  • Expertise in end-to-end system performance simulations including the ability to plan, perform, evaluate and present end-to-end system performance studies
  • Ability to drive product line growth through performance assessment of proposed technical capability upgrades and clear communication of assessment results
  • Expertise in TEWA algorithm integration and evaluation
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across Company and with program partners
  • Minimum of 12+ years relevant professional experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). 
  • Eligible to receive a Secret US Security Clearance
 
Desired skills:
  • Existing Secret US Security Clearance
  • Experience with requirements and processes associated with export licensing
  • Experiences across system lifecycle from capture through program execution
  • Advanced degree in STEM
