Agricultural Chemical Sales Specialist

Location: Wooster, Ohio, and Surrounding Areas
 

Are you a motivated self-starter with a passion for sales and agriculture? Our rapidly expanding independent chemical company is seeking a Wholesale Chemical Sales Representative to cover the Wooster, Ohio, and surrounding areas. This role offers the opportunity to sell chemicals, fertilizers, and agriculture inputs to agriculture retailers while working independently and driving business growth.
 

Responsibilities:

• Sell chemicals, fertilizers, and agriculture inputs to agriculture retailers and customers in the designated territory.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with retailers, farmers, and customers through cold calls and face-to-face sales calls.
• Identify customer needs and provide solutions tailored to their requirements.
• Drive sales growth and achieve sales targets through effective sales strategies and negotiations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts.

Desired Background and Skills:

• Sales and/or marketing experience, or a strong desire to develop a professional career in the chemical industry.
• Agronomy background and a degree in Agriculture are preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Goal-oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong leadership skills, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year plus commission
