Actuary

ISGF is currently seeking an Actuary position for one of our clients located in Sarasota, FL

Our client is a top company in the insurance industry that is committed to providing quality protection for various insurance needs in over 16 states. As an Actuary, you are essential to the insurance company. You will support the production of insurance by analyzing the financial costs and risks by using mathematics, statistics, and financial theory.

Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Minimum of 10 years of actuarial experience, with homeowners’ experience preferred
• Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) highly desired
• Successful completion of at least four (4) actuarial exams

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversees and manages projects related to pricing
• Lead the ratemaking process
• Develop pricing indications
• Perform pricing projects
• Support and develop pricing tools
• Advance pricing methodology in terms of data capture and analysis
• Manage competing internal interests
• Lead the review of new product strategies, design, pricing, and rate changes
• Price structures as needed
• Communicate as needed with regulatory authorities on filings
• Testify as required in support of rate filings
• Lead the review of new product strategies, design, pricing, and implementation of rate changes
• Drive process improvements and provide insight to leadership
• Oversee the reserving process and projects related to reserving
• Lead the development of new reserving tools
