Aalis Management Consulting, LLC is looking for an Acquisition Specialist I to support our client in Washington, DC. The Acquisition Specialist I is required to be on-site (100% telework until COVID restrictions are lifted). Below are some of the positions responsibilities and required skills and qualifications:
To provide advanced support and assistance in all areas of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) based Federal procurement in which expertise is required with: preparing or reviewing pre-procurement packages, developing and managing acquisition plans, preparing/researching support documentation, making quality recommendations to the Contracting officer, handling and resolving problems, validating data, and otherwise completing actions needed to successfully support advertising, soliciting, constructing, awarding, administering and closing out government contracts or task/delivery orders.
• Auditing contract files
• Performing documentation reviews
• Conforming contracts
• Uploading documents in an Electronic Contract File (ECF)
• Preparing inspection reports identifying deficiencies in contract files and ECF
• Requesting, reviewing, and ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP)
• Invoice Payment Oversight
• Preparing responses to Freedom of Information Requests (FOIAs)
• Template Development and Review, and
• Retrieving Responsibility Determination Documents
Education:
• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
• Experience: Four (4) years of contract work experience based on the Contract
• Specialist (GS-1102) Qualification Standards. In addition, experience with the utilization of electronic contract file systems is required.
Knowledge of:
• Basic principles of contract preparation
• Basic methods and techniques of contract negotiation
• General procurement practices and regulations
• Principles and procedures of record keeping
• Principles of basic report preparation
• Acquisition related Federal laws and regulations
