Job Summary

If you love solving mathematical problems, have an eye for detail and enjoy balancing your checkbook, we could use your expertise in our office as accounting assistant. We count on our dedicated team members in the financial department to keep our budget balanced and maintain accurate records of all the company's transactions. Work with experienced accounting professionals to track and record expense data, complete research and reconcile any discrepancies in both accounts payable and accounts receivable. Become a valued member of our team and foster relationships with numerous departments while making vital contributions to our company's success.

Job Responsibilities
  • Complete daily bookkeeping journal entries for multiple accounts, including outgoing and incoming payments and other transactions.
  • Compare expenditure documents with accounts payable invoices as needed to verify accuracy, reconcile discrepancies and initiate payments.
  • Perform accounts receivable duties on an as-needed basis, including calculating profit and loss statements and verifying contracts with billing documents.
  • Communicate with various departments during audits relating to expenses, payments, customer accounts, budget tracking and correction of inaccurate transactions.
  • Respond to external vendors and internal managers regarding all aspects of the accounts payable process, including processing invoices for payment, recording sales tax, assisting with bank reconciliations, and documenting loans.
  • Develop and maintain a filing system for financial information, records and documents to ensure easily available information.
  • Handle weekly check requests and reimbursements
  • Submit payroll hours to CPA, distribute pay stubs, reimbursement checks, and W-2s
  • Submit new employee’s W-4, DE-4, and direct deposit authorization forms
  • Create and report budgets and income reports for projects
  • Monitor account balances, track expenses, prepare analyses of accounts and related financial activity to produce monthly financial reports.
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required
  • *Must be able to communicate, read, and write in Mandarin fluently*
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and work ethics
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Windows applications
  • Dedication to teamwork and ability to communicate calmly and effectively

Preferred
  • Educational background in Accounting or Finance with relevant work experience preferred
  • Experience in Quickbooks, ERP, and Excel preferred
  • Experience with Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable preferred
