Accountant

Summary: Troy-based CPA Firm looking for a self-motivated, full-time Accountant to join an excellent work environment. The ideal candidate will be looking for a long-term home with a chance to grow into shared ownership.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting
• Preparing individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
• Tax planning and research
• Preparation of financial statements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Willing to get CPA license
• Experience with current computer accounting and tax programs (Ex. QuickBooks or Creative Solutions products - preferred but not required)
• Detail and deadline oriented
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of tax and accounting rules
• Integrity with an ability to handle confidential information
