We are looking for unique, purpose-driven individuals to join our team.
Forest Ridge, located in rural Estherville, Iowa, is a residential treatment facility for at-risk youth. Our residential students are females ages 13-18, and they come to us from many states across the country. Our students stay with us for an average of 6-9 months while we provide therapy, substance abuse counseling, behavior health services, and daily role modeling. Our ability to motivate the girls toward a positive, healthy future is a large factor in our success.

The Youth Counselor provides direct care supervision and are part of a team that helps youth make positive changes in their lives. You must be patient and have the ability to remain calm in difficult situations. The hours are either A Shift (6:30am-2:30pm) or B Shift (2:30pm-10:30pm), with 1 guaranteed weekend off a month.

Forest Ridge was established in 1983 as a residential foster care facility for at-risk youth located in rural Northwest Iowa and offers specialized Gender Responsive Services for adolescent girls ages 13-17. Girls in the program focus not only on behavioral change, but also on positive thinking patterns, healthy belief systems and the development of a positive value system that will provide internal guidance for the students when they leave the program. Students in the Forest Ridge Program live in a socially interactive environment where girls learn to give and receive help from others in a caring way with the guidance of trained staff, through positive role modeling and mentoring. The development of positive thinking patterns and a healthy value system provides each young woman with the internal guidance she is able to use when she leaves Forest Ridge.
