Purpose:
Our home-based agents take and respond to emergency maintenance calls from residents/tenants of client landlords, vacation managers, community association managers, and property managers.
Responsibilities:
Answer telephone calls quickly in a professional and friendly manner.
Listen to resident/tenant concerns and obtain contact information.
Empathize with resident’s/tenant’s inconvenience.
Understand and diagnose the nature of the problem by engaging the caller with appropriate questions (per training instructions).
Identify possible interim solutions or ways to mitigate the problem (i.e., shutoff leaking valves).
Determine if the problem constitutes an emergency based on the criteria provided by the client landlord/manager. Analyze risks and promote the health and safety of residents.
Whenever possible, provide the caller with instructions to protect the property from imminent, severe damage.
Execute training and company policies as instructed.
Document each call, diagnoses, and actions taken in our custom CRM software platform.
Ensure that inbound telephone volume is handled at all times during the shift and until the next assigned staff member has confirmed that they are ready and available to begin work
Qualifications:
**Required**
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years customer service experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability and willingness to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Outstanding multitasking and time management skills.
High speed internet access.
**Preferred**
Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
3+ years of experience working in real estate, property management, or maintenance.
Type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
