Web Developer

Blue Frog is seeking an experienced web developer to join our creative team. Our developers work closely with the designers and project managers to bring the collective vision of the project coordinator, designer, and client to life. In order to successfully launch this vision, the developer is often involved in more than just the website build, making it essential that the candidate possesses strong communication skills and is team-oriented, eager to take on new challenges, and willing to provide recommendations as a technical resource for the company.
 

Responsibilities in this role include the following:

• Develop cutting-edge, responsive websites using the HubSpot CMS or WordPress
• Develop templates, emails, blogs, and landing pages within the HubSpot CMS
• Assist with launching websites and obtaining the necessary credentials to do so
• Train clients on how to use their websites after launch, either in-person or over the phone
• Keep up with current best practices and industry standards
• Provide assistance and mentoring to junior level team members
• Provide recommendations throughout the website process
• Serve as a technical resource for other areas of the company

A good candidate will have the following:

• A strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript/jQuery
• A basic understanding of HubL
• An understanding of DNS properties
• Experience with website analytics, SEO techniques, and online marketing strategies
• Desire to continuously learn and grow
• Ability to find unique, creative solutions to complex problems
• A high initiative to identify opportunities for improvement
• Ability to accept constructive feedback from clients
• Flexibility within an always-evolving environment
• Strong organization skills and ability to manage workload
• Ability to perform under tight deadlines
• A positive attitude
