Water System Operator

Description

Water Systems Operator – Spencer Water Department: Assist in the operation and maintenance of the Town’s water system, including, but not limited to, mains, services, pumps, SCADA, metering and customer service programs.

This is a fulltime benefit eligible position. Salary range is $25.38-$30.29 per hour. Subject to Union Rules and Regulations. EEO Employer.

Requirements

The position requires High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or one to two years related experience and/or training in water treatment and distribution; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires Massachusetts Water Systems Operators Licenses T1 and D1 (minimum required at time of hire) and Massachusetts Driver’s License Class D (Required). Massachusetts Water Systems Operators Licenses T2 and D2 preferred at time of hire or at minimum mandatory required to obtain within 1-year from date of hire.
