Position Description and Purpose: This position is responsible for executing shipping and receiving procedures in an accurate and timely manner.
PERFORMANCE DIMENSIONS & KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI)
Specific KPI’s Critical to the Success of Position:
1. Accurate fulfillment of all applicable documentation for shipment & receipt of product.
2. Timely stocking of warehouse bin locations with raw materials.
3. Ensure timely & accurate order picking and shipment of finished products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Title: Warehouse Associate I
FLSA: Non-Exempt
• Utilize ERP system to process orders ensuring timely delivery.
• Utilize ERP system to ensure proper transportation methods are deployed.
• Verify production order outputs to insure accurate paperwork transactions.
• Maintain clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintain positive outlook in a team environment.
• Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings.
• Support First In, First Out inventory concepts.
• Exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment.
• Detect and report defective equipment and any improper operations or unusual conditions.
• Follow all warehouse safety guidelines.
• Engage in all continuous improvement efforts.
• Disassemble and dispose of cardboard containers.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1-2 years’ experience in working with ERP system.
• 1-2 years’ experience in operating a forklift.
• 1-2 years’ experience in Microsoft software (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• 1-2 years’ experience working with warehouse scanners or bar-coding equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified to CPIM, CLTD, CSCP – APICS/ASCM accreditation.
. ENVIRONMENT and COGNITIVE /PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Ability to operate a computer.
• Ability to read, hear, speak, and understand English.
• Physical requirements consist of bending, stooping, overhead reaching, and standing up to 8 hours daily.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent lifting up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to do basic math computations regularly.
• Ability to effectively communicate using the telephone.
• Exposure to heat levels of greater than 85 degrees for the assigned work shift.
• Requires normal vision range.
