Title: Warehouse Technician

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Description:

  • Will perform clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods and with receiving incoming shipments.
  • Responsible for storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage, and preparing the materials for shipment.
  • Responsible for verifying that shipping orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents.
  • Responsible for ensuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles, and preparing and keeping records of goods shipped, e.g., manifests, bills of lading.
  • Responsible for verifying the correctness of incoming shipments while receiving by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other receiving documents/records.
  • Responsible during receiving for checking for damaged goods, ensuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to prescribed storage locations.
  • Responsible for preparing and keeping records of goods received.
  • Responsible for reporting to warehouse supervisor or management to alert them of any issues with shipping or receiving.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • The experience shall include two (2) years’ experience in a warehouse environment and the ability to utilize MS word products to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Candidate must have active Secret Clearance.
