Job Description:

BOLD is an established and fast-growing technology company that transforms work lives. In May 2015 we opened our new global headquarters in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico— and we’ve been ambitiously expanding ever since.

Since 2005, BOLD has delivered award-winning career services that have a meaningful and positive impact on job seekers and employers. BOLD’s robust product line includes professional resume and cover letter builders, scientifically validated career tests, and employer tools that help companies hire, onboard, and communicate with their staff.

DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:

Bold Studios is a new initiative where marketing, product management, and design come together in one interdisciplinary team to launch innovative web and mobile products. This studio format allows our team of experienced professionals to move quickly, experiment, and exert a high degree of ownership.

POSITION SUMMARY:

As UX Researcher, you’ll work with our Lead Product Designer in a group that embraces User-Centered Design-- researching, ideating, mapping user flows, creating mockups and designing high-fidelity UIs for our web applications. We understand UXR, UXD, UI and Creative Design-- at the moment we’re small enough that you’ll do a bit of each (no coding). Your research will help us make a boring and stressful job search process a little bit fun and easy for our users.

REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own design initiatives from research through wire-framing / prototyping, and occasionally all the way through to High Fidelity Visual Design
  • Partner with engineering and product management to build delightful user experiences

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least three years of design/research experience in tech/startups
  • Experience with user research and conducting usability testing
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or related field
  • Portfolio showcasing web design and/or research for consumer products
  • Ability to convey concepts through wire-framing, flows, and mockups
  • Ability to keep up to date with current design tools and applications
  • Effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously with shifting priorities

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with Sketch for User Interface design
  • Familiarity with UserTesting.com, user session recording tools, etc
