Interested in broadcasting live to hundreds or sometimes thousands of adoring fans! You need to be sharp, charismatic, and maybe a little (/a lot) funny. If you're "in the know" on Twitch and Reddit and YouTube, you're perfect aleady. Stand-up comedy or acting? Great! Those are valid skills here. Lead raids in World of Warcraft? FANTASTIC. Do not hide your nerdy side. We need that here.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Artesian Builds is seeking a hardware expert, PC builder, and all around workshop/studio generalist who watches Linus Tech Tips and says "wow I wish I could do that, I have all these skills I'm not putting to use!" Let's change that. Here in the San Francisco core workshop we have a lot of things to accomplish and new projects crop up every week!
Pay starts in the $20-30/hr range and goes up from there depending on experience. % of negotiated sales also applicable for certain tasks.
Ever wanted to be a star on twitch? Meet your idols on YouTube or in the gaming world? Manage a media channel on YouTube? Build supercomputers? Being broadcast live to thousands of people and participating in our YouTube videos requires being comfortable and confident on camera. We can't stress this enough. You don't have to have broadcast experience, but it certainly helps to not be afraid of the camera lens. :)
Long time subscribers to reddit.com/r/buildapc will be right at home with us, and get the chance to build amazing things that might seem utterly out of reach before chatting with us.
THE SKILLS:
It would be stellar if you had built from scratch and properly maintained 30-50+ PCs over the past 5-10 years at least. We don't care if the experience started when you were 13 years old - just be a consummate expert who lives and breathes tech + computers. We want to be watching the same YouTube videos, consuming the same news, etc, etc. If this is FUN for you, this job is going to be an absolute blast. If you think of watching entertaining tech videos as hard work or a chore, you'll probably hate this role.
No formal training of any kind required, although advanced knowledge in any of the following is lovely to have: woodworking, CNC milling, 3d printing, photography, mechanical design and engineering, industrial design, gaming and esports, CPG, computers/IT, news media, entertainment media, software development, sales & consulting, etc...
THE ROLE:
Build, Inventory, Photo/Video/Present, Pack, and sometimes Troubleshoot PCs! There's a ton going on here, but the core of the business is a reinvention of the entire ecommerce flow. You'll interact LIVE with customers as you build amazing PCs and talk about tech and life and memes and videogames with our audiences!
Ideal 'shifts' are: 2pm to 10pm PST, and we sometimes broadcast even later. Also Saturday/Sunday from 12pm to any time.
