The following are tasks to be performed by the Tooling Manager. The duties are not limited to this list. Any additional requirements, changes, or deletions will be at the discretion of the Director of Engineering.

SUMMARY: An employee in this position must manage multiple projects from NPI through completion leading to sustainable production in all required Production Departments. Requires a strong background in injection molding, manufacturing processes, and related tooling activities as well as the ability to pay complete attention to detail and have expert time management skills.
ENTRY-LEVEL REQUIREMENTS:
B.S. in Engineering or related experience that supports the Job Roles & Duties as listed below.
Five years of Program Management experience in the Injection Molding Industries.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programming and CAD Software.
Work to develop new technologies and better practices to keep the Company ahead of its competition.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist corporate sales force by providing technical support relative to customer development and demand.
Collaborative Design: Develop better procedures to support Company and our customers with true value engineering, DFM/DFA, and Mold Flow Activities to become a standard in supporting product development.
Quoting & Estimating: Provides customers with Firm and Ballpark quotes for molds and support tooling needs.
Prototype: Promotes and coordinates prototyping services for the end customers. Includes rapid tool build, machined prototypes, in-house 3D printing as well as outsourcing SLA/SLS and other available methods.
Vendor Qualification & Selection: Qualify vendors (domestic & offshore) based on capabilities to better Company
NPI Process Improvements: Support Program Managers, Testing & Production to better existing practices.
Process Improvement for Tooling Qualifications: Work to develop better Tooling Qualification Practices.
Tooling and Testing Sustaining Engineering: Develop better practices relative to the Mold PM Program and work to
develop a more structured Testing Feedback Program for both Company Production and our Customers.
R&D: Researches, evaluates, selects, and develops processes and products to meet the needs of the customer.
Possess comprehensive reading, Communication, and Analytical skills.
Able to set priorities and be well organized in a fast-paced multifaceted work environment.
Advanced understanding of injection molding, injection mold construction criteria, and design.
