Job Summary

The Quintar Technical Product Manager for Platform & SDK plays a critical role in working with internal and external stakeholders to drive the strategy and execution of the Quintar large-scale, highly modular live event amplification platform-as-a-service product line. This multi-disciplined, cross-functional role collaborates with internal product, engineering, business, and production services teams as well as external app developers to drive product innovation and value to Quintar and its partners. The Technical Product Manager needs to help define the large strategic vision and make short and long-term trade-offs across the entire ecosystem.

You enjoy collaborating with the developer community, engineering, leadership, and business to deploy a platform and SDK strategy that leads to satisfied content partners and their developers.

What You’ll Own
 

•         The definition and day-to-day management of the platform & SDK strategy and roadmap. Partner with leadership, engineering, business, production services,and other product managers to develop a vision, strategy, and prioritized feature backlog for the platform and SDK.
•         Maintain and evolve our company-wide API standards and work with engineering to implement them
•         Identify, prioritize and track SDK and API standards needs in our Product roadmap
•         Use data-driven decision making in the product prioritization and development process
•         Manage the 3rd party solutions team to develop code samples in a variety of languages to help developers more easily consume our APIs
•         Work with our Business Development and Product leadership to get broad adoption of our SDKs with developers
•         Build and nurture a strong developer community
•         Demonstrate an understanding of the developer experience, fan experience, and mass-audience content partner experience.
•         As the company expands, lead a recruit and lead a team of technical product managers and support engineers
•         Demonstrate strong project management skills to handle complex dependency management and diverse stakeholders to deliver projects on time and on strategy.

Qualifications
 

•         You have a passion for great developer experience—you understand the developer’s perspective and can be the voice of the developer community through the entire product lifecycle
•         You have launched multiple successful platform products, SDKs, and APIs
•         You demonstrate technical proficiency and effectiveness working closely with senior engineers
•         You understand the processes needed to design proper platform architectures, security models, enterprise integrations, and APIs/SDKs
•         You have the ability and desire to work in an extremely fast-paced, dynamic, and nimble environment that can pivot very quickly to reflect priority shifts
•         You demonstrate a strong work ethic, integrity, and collaborative team approach to work
•         You have excellent leadership and relationship building skills
•         Exceptional at communicating with senior management as well as with colleagues from technical and non-technical backgrounds

Experience & Education Requirements

•         At least 4 years hands-on track record in a technical product role delivering on a successful platform SDK/API strategy
•         At least 6 years proven experience overseeing all elements of the development lifecycle
•         Experience working with iOS, Android, Unity, and Unreal
•         First-hand experience with code-gen tools and understanding of the tradeoffs and limitations
•         Strong understanding of all aspects of agile product development and delivery
•         Bachelor’s degree, EE/CS/DSP, or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience

•         Hands-on development experience
•         Large scale, mass audience application or platform experience
•         Software as a Service (SaaS) experience a plus
•         Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and/or gaming experience

?Fully Remote Team for Covid

Our team is fully remote for Covid. But post-Covid, engineering positions will primarily be centered in Santa Clara while other positions may be located in Santa Clara, Portland, and Atlanta.

Smart Hours, Not Crazy Hours

We don’t track hours, and we live by a balanced work-live-play philosophy. There have been a few occasions where things got a little crazy and people had to put some extra time in (we’re building something completely brand new after all). But then they took some extra time off, so it all balances out. We work hard and smart but we’re in this for the long haul, no need to work crazy hours just for the sake of putting in hours.

We want you to take time off. In addition to a standard holiday schedule, we don’t have a set time off policy. Take what you need. Get rest, recharge. It’s important to get out and do something.

About Quintar and Why We’re Hiring

Quintar is a fan technology startup with the mission to be the industry standard live-action augmented reality platform that creates venue-scale metaverse canvases for sports and entertainment.
