Job Description:

The Technical Account Manager drives success of Cloud migration client engagements and application development projects from pre-sales through implementation by driving the project from the technical delivery perspective.  Our Technical Account Managers function as technical project managers collaborating with delivery, sales and clients across multiple projects. In this newly created position, we are seeking experience in managing and leading software consulting and cloud infrastructure migration projects.  The ideal candidate will be a technology expert who is also skilled in project management and has strong client service skills.  This role is client-facing, keeping the client informed of project status as well as articulating and helping resolve complex technical issues.  This role combines technical experience, business knowledge and client experience to drive successful client engagements within our healthcare practice.

 

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, implementation and successful delivery of highly technical, and often complex, implementation projects

• Work with stakeholders to gather and manage the business requirements for application migrations from on premise data centers to cloud environments

• Serve as the subject matter expert and point of contact on projects related to workload cloud migrations and fully understand the difference between migrating workloads and migrating applications

• Track the task and project status related to cloud migrations and related projects while managing client and internal teams

• Capture overall program resource requirements and manage resource allocation

• Build and maintain the comprehensive project plan, ensuring strong communication between the delivery team (onshore and offshore) and any other internal stakeholders

• Proactively manage scope to ensure that only what was agreed to is delivered, unless changes are discussed and approved

• Proactively identify potential issues and propose mitigation plans or alternative solutions

• Ensure work is assigned and completed on time and within scope and budget

• Build credibility, establish rapport and maintain communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization

• Participate in the pre-sales process by providing technical expertise to the account executives in identifying needs and proposing solutions to help create Statements of Work and ensuring ROI will be met on the engagements

• Invest in ongoing self-development to acquire industry relevant skills necessary to satisfy client’s needs

 

Candidate Profile:

• 10+ years of IT industry hands-on experience

• 4 + years of experience as a Program / Project Manager on IT Data Center, Cloud or software development projects

• 2+ years of that experience with cloud migration projects specifically

• Experience in delivering large and complex software / Infrastructure programs and familiarity with Citrix, firewalls, etc.

• Experience with managing large scale workload deployments with AWS or Azure

• Software application management experience should include end-to-end project planning, status reporting and issue/risk management

• Experience in management of Healthcare and Life Sciences related software projects; directly led at least 2 healthcare or life sciences infrastructure projects highly desirable

• Experience with regulations, such as HIPAA, HITECH a plus

• Knowledge of software development methodologies such as, Agile, Kanban, etc.

• Understanding of SAAS, web services and PAAS

• Ability to define resources and types of resources required for a project

• Proven ability to manage project resources including overall technical leadership ability

• Knowledge of service delivery in a post and/or presales environment

• Previous client-facing experience with consultative approach

• Ability to act as an escalation point for technical and client service issues, as necessary

• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities 

• Self-motivated and will seek out and engage the individuals necessary to achieve clarity and develop effective solutions

• Excellent oral and written communication with the ability to communicate information and ideas in speech and writing so that both technical and non-technical audiences will understand 

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or healthcare field a plus

 

Salary: 100-125K base salary plus commissions with OTE 170 – 190K first year
