Tax Associate

DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:

BOLD is seeking a Tax Associate to work with all international tax accounting and compliance aspects of our global business. This role will be in charge of the international tax accounting, tax compliance, the quarterly tax provision, the GST/VAT regimes compliance, and will work closely with the global tax group on the Company’s tax strategy.  This role will be located in our headquarter office in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The role reports to the Global Tax Manager and requires a reliable professional with International Corporate tax and GST/VAT knowledge. The candidate should be a highly collaborative individual who thrives in an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment where thoughts are rigorously challenged and tested.
 

REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for international tax accounting and compliance
• Work closely with the Global Tax team on the tax components of the global audit.  Must have an understanding of statutory audit requirements, current and deferred tax calculations 
• Reconcile tax accounts
• Prepare estimated tax payment calculations for the global income tax jurisdictions.
• Prepare Income Tax, GST and VAT Journal entries
• Prepare global GST/VAT documents
• Prepare international tax compliance documents, including all necessary forms.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Undergrad degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3 to 5 years of proven work experience as a tax professional and knowledge of international corporate tax and GST/VAT accounting and compliance
• 3 years of experience in a top accounting firm or corporation
• Knowledge of accounting software (NetSuite/Oracle preferred) and MS Office
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to handle various projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical skills and an attention to detail
• Positive attitude and proactive nature
• Effective communication skills to explain complex tax issues in a simple, clear, concise manner that will be understood across the organization
• Experience with and understanding of transfer pricing strategies
