Surf Instructor

Cal Coast Adventures and Santa Barbara Surf School are looking for high energy surf instructors for the 2024 summer season!

We can hire on part-time or full-time. You decide your weekly hours total!

We will be interviewing and hiring a few instructors for work starting in March and continuing through the summer.

We will also be interviewing and hiring instructors for work starting in May/June and continuing through the summer.

We are hiring for both full time or part time. Applicants must be available 3 days a week including at least 1 weekend day. For those seeking part time and for those seeking full time it will be 4 to 5 days a week. We do begin some days early so being a morning person is a plus. We need surfers that are responsible, organized, energetic and that have a love for surfing. Must be energetic and attentive when giving lessons. Must have a clean driving record. Must have a minimum 5 years of surfing experience. If you have teaching experience or think you would make an excellent surf instructor please tell us a little about yourself, why you would be a good fit, and please attach a resume. The right candidate must have the following:

- Clean driving record: parking tickets are ok.
- Upbeat and happy personality
- Organized
- 5 years surfing experience
- Flexible
- Great people skills (WE ARE VERY SERVICE ORIENTED)
- Must be active
- Always on time
- 3-5 Days available a week

Pay: $18-$19 /hr plus tips
Pay can be raised depending on experience

Job Duties:
Leading Surf lessons
Daily set up and tear down; general cleaning after lessons
Renting to customers
Customer Service
