Smartense has one of the fastest growing baseball programs in the state. The performance program is rapidly expanding as well. Smartense is now bringing on performance coach interns. These coaches would implement the Smartense performance program for all Smartense Angels baseball teams ages 14-18. Coaches will also design and implement their own training programs for their assigned baseball teams. A list of the coach’s additional responsibilities is listed below.

 

 

· Leading team stretches (before weekend games and practices 2x week)

· Conducting daily conditioning/speed/agility drills/shoulder

Program

· Assist during any field-testing or player assessments

· Coach small group or team training classes

· Compile player data (testing numbers, health status,

Daily workout reports.)

· Assist with or implement marketing program

· Assist with any administrative work

· Assist with any baseball activities (fieldwork, assisting coaches,

Administrative.

· Clean/maintain the performance training areas

· Smartense performance coaches will learn how a professional baseball

Performance program is operated.

 

Upon completion of this internship, Smartense Training's

Number one goal is to place the most qualified interns with an MLB organization as a performance coach . This opportunity will prepare the interns for a professional baseball performance coach position or any other professional sport. To learn more about this position contact Ronnie Kenyatta.

 

Ronnie Kenyatta is the Director of Sports Performance at Smartense training. Ronnie was the Assistant Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for the NY Mets for 12 years. He is a CSCS through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Ronnie also has a Masters Degree in Exercise Science from the California University of Pennsylvania.

SmarTense Training is a limited liability company that was established in September of 2014 by Jarrett Northcutt, the current owner and CEO. The LLC’s normal walk in hours is 10:00am – 9:00pm, but are available by appointment Monday – Sunday.

 

Since the summer of 2015, the LLC has served its customers and the SmarTense Angels Baseball Program out of an indoor facility that totals roughly 10,000 square feet. Its unique build out and versatility of equipment and space aligns with its wide range of training for baseball players and other athletes in different sports.
