Opportunity for an experienced Storage Engineer to join an IT Operations Project for a federal government system. The candidate will provide storage-engineering support for large enterprise applications in an agile environment. Candidate will be responsible for design and execution of flexible storage solutions hosted on-premises and in the cloud.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, build storage solutions and configure SAN switches in a virtualized, mission critical environment supporting large storage volumes
• Supporting as lead/specialist on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
• Supporting hyper converged solutions
• Lead a team of engineers supporting storage systems
• Lead and guide the work of junior technical staff. Serve as liaison between PM and technical staff in all aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage.
• Fully engaged in the implementation of a DevOps system framework.
• Support in a lead role on storage related projects involving on-premise and cloud
• Responsible for operational availability of all the systems hosted on the infrastructure
• Support planning and building infrastructure supporting COOP & DR plans
• Support information assurance process in a technical role by complying with technical controls
• Assist and mentor junior members on the team

Required Education and Experience

• 7 years of NetApp storage systems experience; that includes experience with NetApp systems administration support for large scale Windows/UNIX/Linux environments.
• 7 years of experience installing and configuring NetApp storage systems.
• 7 years of experience writing scripts with a scripting language
• 5 years of experience using OCI
• 5 years of experience in managing FlexPod integration with NetApp storage
• 2 years of experience with AWS On-Premise and AWS migrations
• Familiarity with DevOps and ITIL processes
