Job Description:

GRTAS, LLC is seeking a Workers Compensation s Sr. Manager to manage Worker’s Compensation, General Liability and Auto Liability claims and related programs and processes. The person will be responsible for the analysis, management and support of all aspects of the claim portfolios. This position will work closely with the Insurers/Third-Party Claims Administrator, Insurance Broker, Legal, Risk Management and the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) departments to review, and assist in the decisions regarding coverage, compensability, loss control initiatives and other risk mitigation/risk prevention initiatives as described below.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

* 5-7 years of experience with an emphasis on workers’ compensation claim experience preferred or significant benefit administration experience

* Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Excel in particular

* Excellent oral and written communication skills

* Knowledge of State Worker’s Compensation requirements

* Knowledge of OSHA WC standards helpful
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibility of the Workers Compensation Sr. Manager is to oversee the workers’ compensation, general liability and auto liability claims portfolio. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Manage the day-to-day operations of the claims function

* Work closely with the insurance broker’s claims consultant and the appropriate personnel within Legal, Risk Management, Finance, EHS and Human Resources to manage claim settlements and closures

* Ensure that the insurers’ financial reserve allocations for open claims are appropriate

* Conduct periodic claim reviews and audits with insurers

* Identify and communicate claim trends to Human Resources and EHS and assist these departments with the development of loss mitigation/prevention strategies

* Coordinate responses to subpoena/legal requests arising from casualty claims

* Identify and initiate improvements to current processes/procedures and programs, including integrated disability and a modified return to work process

* Ensure Frontier is compliant with all applicable claim-related Federal/State/Local Laws
