Spanish/English Interpreter

LINQM needs multiple Spanish/English Interpreters for our client.

 

• Live interpretation services in English and Spanish. Spanish speakers will be primarily from Costa Rica. Irvine-based trainers will speak English (some as their 2nd language).
• Translation services will support training of sewing operations for medical devices.
• Break and lunch periods will follow the training room schedule. This provides for two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute lunch break.
• Normal work hours will be 4:30 am to 2 pm, Monday - Friday. Some Saturday support may be necessary, but not likely.
• Location: Services will be provided onsite at Edwards Lifesciences’ Irvine California facilities known as Redhill and Kettering.
• Interpretation will take place primarily in the HVC Training Room and in Edwards’ cleanrooms. 
• In these rooms, special gowning and cleanliness rules apply and food and drink are not allowed.

• Good English/Spanish communication is required.
• Does not need to be a certified interpreter but previous interpretation/translation experience is highly preferred. 
• Must have a positive attitude
• Assignment may extend but is not expected to convert to FTE

Education and Experience: Bachelors degree required. ~ 3 years experience live interpreting in a professional setting
