Job Description:

Lessing-Flynn is looking for a professional and driven Social Media Specialist to add to our growing team. The right person will have experience leading and executing social media plans and strategies for various clients.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience serving in a social media marketing role
  • Desire to continuously enhance knowledge and skills by researching industry news, and seeking opportunities for additional marketing training and education
  • Background and experience in manufacturing or agriculture is a plus

Expertise:

  • Social content strategy and planning
  • Social content copywriting
  • Channel management and community management
  • Experience working across all social media platforms
  • Strong writing, verbal and presentation skills
  • Identifies problems and seeks out solutions
  • Using third party social and tracking tools

Daily responsibilities:

  • Excels in organic social content planning and copywriting, with emphasis on understanding how each element fits within a brand’s content strategy hierarchy, each specific channel, and how it is measured.
  • Drives the development of organic social content approach for existing clients and aides in this area for the development of new business.
  • Ensures seamless, accurate and on-time implementation/scheduling of content and associated creative materials as planned and approved, with real-time optimizations as needed.
  • Executes social listening for issues and opportunistic engagement strategy and community management insights for clients
  • Drives ad-hoc social requests from clients as they come up week-to-week with research and first-draft strategic recommendations.
  • Completes monthly metrics reports in a timely fashion while providing insights and recommendations that impact the success of social media plans.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve content and conversation in both social communities and across brand campaigns.
  • Crafts social engagement strategies for integrated marketing programs using sound audience insights, best practice techniques, and measurement.
