Social Media Content Creator

This role is one part social media creator and one part social media community manager. If you love all things social media, have an amazing eye that translates to shooting and editing video, taking photos, and cracking open Photoshop or Illustrator to build a cool looking graphic, then this job is for you!
 

The Richard Janes Company is looking for a Social Media Producer to join our new Oklahoma City Office (our head office is in Los Angeles) where you will be tasked with creating custom content (videos, photos, graphics) that builds communities and engagement, together with managing our social media accounts through community management with the goal of increasing fan affinity and growing followers.
 

The ideal candidate is passionate and knowledgeable about all things social media and gets a kick out of the nuances behind each individual social platform. The ideal candidate will also have experience developing editorial calendars, timely content plans, running community management, growing social media followers, and providing day-to-day coverage across social media.
 

Essential Responsibilities:

Plan, create, and execute social media content in support of both the company and our clients digital footprints for platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Linkedin and more.
 

50% of your time will be focused on building content around our CEO which means accompanying him to speaking events and conferences with a DSLR (video and photo), supporting his podcast and daily videos, together with creating content for his online courses around personal branding. The remaining 50% of the time will be supporting our CEO’s LA based digital agency, Fanology, which supports clients such as Toyota, Microsoft, and Livenation.
 

We’ll be looking to you to come up with creative ideas to build excitement around our CEO and clients and work with the team to maintain authentic social voices that enhance the accounts, drives brand affinity, and increases overall reach and fan experience.
 

Basic Qualifications & Eligibility Requirements:
 

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience producing content for digital platforms
• Ability to show a selection of videos and photography that you have produced.

• Must be able to work in downtown Oklahoma City full time.
• Must have work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have ability to occasionally work flexible hours and travel with our CEO’s speaking commitments.

• Expert written and oral communication skills
• Snappy copywriting skills that make us smile and laugh
• An amazing eye for great photography and video
• Proven understanding of social media best practices and a strategic approach to a wide range of new and emerging platforms
• Experience with all forms of new media
• Able to track and leverage KPIs, while understanding the rapidly changing social media landscape
• Skilled with Photohsop, Premeire or AfterEffects, social media products and schedulers, gifs and memes
• Editing experience is a plus
• Ability to collaborate within a team to manage and deliver assigned projects, and to work with little supervision
• Entrepreneurial spirit, positive attitude, a “I’ll get it done attitude”, with a willingness drive projects to completion in a fast-moving environment

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $35,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year

• Social Media: 2 year+
