Specific Description – Shipping & Receiving Clerk

The purpose of the Warehouseman assignment is to Prepare material for Shipment and receive incoming material. Tasks include but are not limited to:
 
• Reads and interprets instructions and procedures 
•Receives items by accepting deliveries and Matching actual product to associated documentation; record transactions SAP and spreadsheets
• Sample incoming raw material (Use of respirator required)
• Moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site using a forklift 
• Create GHS labels, bill of lading, and process paperwork for outgoing shipments; Schedule logistics
• Create shipments using FedEx ship manager
• Prepare products to be shipped
• Maintain Inventory and shipping records by completing logs
• Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. 
• Load/Unload truck trailers containing Hazardous and Non-Hazardous material
• Accomplishes warehousing/shipping and organization mission by completing related results as needed and prioritizing task
• Perform additional duties as needed in department

Qualifications – Shipping & Receiving Clerk
• Detailed oriented; multi-tasker 
• 2+ years of experience in shipping environment
• Strong computer and time management skills;
• Domestic and International shipping experience; experience using FedEx ship manager
• Math skills: addition, multiplication, and division; Strong problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of DOT, IATA, and OSHA regulations 
• Experience shipping hazardous and non-hazardous goods
• Ability to use forklift, pallet jacks, and drum carts
• Ability to work in outdoor environment hot/cold/rain conditions   

Work Schedule – Shipping & Receiving Clerk
 
The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm. Overtime as needed.
