This position is primarily responsible for overseeing the development of structural designs and construction documents as lead engineer on major projects, working with Project Managers to ensure that the project work is completed within budgeted hours and being familiar with the branch office and company goals and providing active support for such goals.
 

  • Ability to use a variety of software programs effectively and make timely and informed recommendations to clients, elected officials, and stakeholders.
  • Interest in working on a variety of projects, including traffic operations, multi-modal corridor studies, transportation impact studies, bicycle and pedestrian facility planning and design, local/regional transportation plans, and final roadway design projects.
  • Ability to progressively develop project management, mentoring, and marketing skills, and develop solid internal and client relationships.
  • Strong willingness to participate competitive marketing pursuits.
  • Entrepreneurial and consulting spirit to serve internal and external clients
  • Passion for the transportation industry and consulting
  • Natural teaching and mentoring ability
  • A strong interest to learn
  • Outward focused with a high level of customer service

 

AND/OR EXPERIENCE:                                                      

Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering field from an accredited four-year college or university and more than six years of professional structural engineering experience. Possession of a Master’s degree (MA) in Civil Engineering or a closely related field may be substituted for one year of professional structural engineering experience.

COMPENSATION
 

  • Contract Hourly Rate + Per Diem + Benefits
  • 12 Month Contract
