Job Description:

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be an integral part of Systems Engineering team in supporting the Missile Defense Agency Ground-Based Midcourse Defense Program and the Next Generation Interceptor. The Senior Electrical Engineer will monitor, review and evaluate developer's avionics, power, grounding, guidance and navigation designs; assist in the development of Executive level briefings, papers, and other correspondence; support/ defend technical opinions; aid in missile/ spacecraft component development, production, integration, failure- review; and apply critical thinking analytical/ engineering skills. *Teleworking is a possibility once established with the company.

Requirements:

  • Development, derivation, Test & Evaluation, verification experience
  • 8+ years Systems Engineering experience or related electronic engineering/ system engineering experience *preferably with GMD or MDA engineering programs from a Prime development level or service support level
  • Familiarity and experience with missile component development, test, production, and integration
  • Familiarity with electronics design for survivability along with survivability testing
  • Proficiency in written and verbal skills as well as MS Office
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver products on schedule
  • Capability to develop and present program briefings to senior management- level personnel
  • Candidate must have a Secret Clearance *Top Secret Clearance is preferred
  • Capable of performing as a member of a team and assisting with solving complex problems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast- paced environment is a MUST!
  • Travel as required to support oversight, meetings, reviews, etc.

Education:

  • BS Degree required
  • MS Degree preferred in Electronics Engineering or related technical field
