The Sr. Accountant, Revenue Accounting - Generic position has responsibilities that revolve around the Accounting and Reporting for the Company's ( Net (GTN) product sales. This position is also responsible for several tasks that are critical components of the monthly financial close process. This inc submission to the VP Revenue Management and/or Associate Director — Revenue Accounting of all assigned journal entries needed to capture GTN a (in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, or GAAP). In addition, this position will prepare various key balance sheet account reconciliations and perform variance analytics. The Accountant Il, Revenue Accounting - Generic will also be responsible for key deliverables to the Fir Reporting team in support of the Company's SEC filings.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Government Rebates IMedicaid - Ensuring all quarterly state invoices are logged by reporting period and tied out to the general ledger - Monitoring act payments to determine whether provision rates are appropriate - Calculation of per product rates by $ and # - Perform monthly/quarterly balance sheet analysis to determine if a true-up is necessary
  • Pipeline - Calculate pipeline reserves for billbacks, admin fees and rebates based on wholesaler inventory on hand - Perform monthly/quarterly balano reserve analysis to determine if a true-up is necessary
  • Assist with Chargebacks - Monthly review of wholesaler chargeback claims including detailed analysis of average contract prices by customer/by prodi facilitates the process of establishing reasonable chargeback per unit values for use in the balance sheet reserve calculation - Analysis of monthly who "on hand" inventory data for use in the reserve calculation including monitoring the average monthly usage for reasonableness
  • Analyze A/R deductions over 60 days to determine month end reserve. Work with Rebate and NR teams to track resolution.
  • Support the Amneal general ledger month-end close process including posting journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
  • Participation with both internal and external auditors in support of the review and audit of the Company's financial results as well as for compliance witt requirements.
  • Cash Discounts - Ongoing monitoring of PCN's issued by the Sales & Marketing group to ensure customer discount terms used for reserve calculation current - Performing monthly calculation of the required Cash Discount balance sheet reserve using the Company's Accounts Receivable trial balance including assessing the reasonableness of the monthly expense as percentage of gross sales
  • Compile and prepare data used in preparing footnotes and supporting schedules and analysis for quarterly and annual SEC filings.
  • Support special projects and issues related to the development of the Amneal organization as they arise.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BABS) Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related Finance Field of Study - Required

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of current experience working in a Public Company accounting, financial reporting and/or internal audit role
  • Pharmaceutical background is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience working in a ERP general ledger environment (SAP preferred)
  • Prior experience with COGNOS a plus
