SAP PP/PI

Technical Skills Required:

At a minimum the individual needs to have experience (1 to 2 years) in SAPs PP-PI module (Production Planning Process Industries). Helpful business experience should include chemical manufacturing, and PI sheet (Process Instruction sheet, browser based) and Xsteps (SAP’s execution steps which are used to build the PI sheet) is also needed. Multiple full-cycle implementations of PP-PI, PI Sheets and Xsteps are very advantageous. Knowledge regarding OTC is appreciated, but not required.

Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

•  Senior member on the team that requires very little guidance
•  Assists in managing bugs through the bug/triage process
•  Follows and contributes to Agile/SCRUM activities (e.g., daily stand-ups, retrospectives, iteration planning, estimating/reporting, acceptance criteria definition)
•  Collaborates with other Scrum team members to understand requirements and technical implications
•  Review and provide feedback to User Story Test Plans provided by the Testing Team as it relates to Feature Functionality Implementation
•  Reviews Test design to ensure that the acceptance criteria of features has been met
•  Ensures Requirements Traceability Matrix aligns Test Cases to User Acceptance Criteria
•  Ensure that data is obtained, modify, and maintained as required for testing
•  Verifies that all Test Cases obtain clear test objectives
•  Ensures that all defects are identified, documented, and reproduced in MTM (or HP ALM)
•  Works closely with Functional Leads , Development and End-Users to understand the Application and how it is used
•  Works with testing team members that are offshore and outsourced by providing guidance and mentorship, while aligning their work to the Scrum Team’s daily activities or Project status meetings
•  Works closely with an automation testing team in identifying candidates for automation and signing off on automation scripts used for project
•  Ensures that automation tests are prioritized and executed for the purpose of supporting regression testing activities (where applicable)
•  Identifies environmental needs, including Test Data, for the testing team by reviewing architecture diagrams and collaboration with Development
•  Understands and adopts ASG Testing Lifecycle for Daily Activities
•  Contributes to Requirement and User Acceptance Criteria analysis by attending Backlog Grooming and Iteration Planning meetings (or Project Planning Meetings)
•  Facilitates Daily QA Synch-up meetings with offshore testing team in the evenings
•  Contributes to updates to the Master Test Plan for by providing valuable feedback and impact assessment, including identifying risks and mitigation
•  Reviews and provide feedback to tasks and estimates as it relates to testing activities (e.g., User Story Test Plans, Test Case Creation, Test Case Execution, Bug Management and Demos)

Soft-Skills

•  Possesses excellent communication skills, written and verbal
•  Is self-motivated and capable of independent work with minimal direction
•  Requires very little guidance and will be seen and seen as a main point of contact for testing related inquiries for the project (schedule, status, defect management and resource alignment)
•  Can guide the testing team on their testing strategies and provide peer review and feedback
•  Can be flexible in work hours to allow for some overlap with our offshore team
•  Can guide the testing team by being a conduit between the onshore testing team and project team
•  Has the ability to assist with onboarding additional team members, as needed
•  Can work directly with the project team to resolve problems or to understand business process flow
•  Is a Problem Solver and seeks to find solutions when issues may arise

Software Skills:

•  Has strong background and experience with software testing and working with offshore teams
•  Has working experience with automation teams and can provide oversight to the work delivered by the automation team
•  Has strong familiarity with TFS and MTM. An understanding of HP Application Lifecycle Management is a plus.
•  Working experience in the AGILE Framework , is a plus but not required
