Job Description:

OBITCO delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Retail Customer Service Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.

The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides an outstanding customer service experience by using consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and find solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Ensures all customer problems are resolved quickly and to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Maintains and operates point-of-sales system efficiently and accurately.
  • Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, team members, and leadership.
  • Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends.
  • Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others.
  • Assembles parcels and prepares goods for shipping by wrapping items in insulation, inserting items into shipping containers, weighing packages, and affixing labels to parcels.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Performs daily front-end maintenance including cleanliness and replenishment of merchandise.
  • Maintains appearance of the store’s interior and exterior to company standards including light maintenance duties and cleaning.
  • Providing fingerprinting for Fieldprint services.
  • Providing notary services for customers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Previous retail experience preferred.
  • Outstanding phone skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to unload freight, move product on and off store shelves, walk, stand, bend, stoop or knees for longe periods of time.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math.
  • Prompt, reliable, and responsible.
  • Willing and able to work 20 to 30 hours per week, including some Saturdays.
