***This position is a remote position available anywhere in Florida, Texas, and California.***
Surge Medical is looking to start 3-4 new teams of medical billers to process medical claims for busy provider offices and networks. Each manager will oversee a team containing no more than 10 billers plus 2 team leads.
Job Duties:
- Accomplishes human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
- Guides employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating billing policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
- Analyze billing and claims for accuracy and completeness.
- Keeps supervisor apprised of overall business operations, changes in billing requirements, and deviations in normal business processes.
Education:
- Associates degree or equivalent experience
Required Experience:
- 1 year in a medical office
- 2 years of management experience
Preferred Experience:
- 1+ years as a medical coder
- 1+ years experience with Medicare and VA
- 1+ years experience working with a remote team
Compensation:
- $14.00 - 18.00 per hour depending on experience
