Quality Inspector

Enzymedica is hiring a Quality Inspector that must be available work to varied 10 – 12 hour shifts (Monday – Friday) and occasional mandatory overtime on weekends.  Work is performed in a climate-controlled environment.

The Quality Inspector will perform various quality functions throughout the manufacturing process to ensure company compliance with cGMP regulations to product high quality products.  Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail are required.  Must have a positive attitude and a great work ethic.

Responsibilities

•     Compliance with FDA’s cGMP regulations for Dietary Supplements as defined in 21 CFR 111

•     Write and revise company Standard Operating Procedures

•     Inspect incoming components for approval or rejection

•     Assign unique lot identifiers

•     Identify deviations and taking proper steps for corrective and preventative actions

•     Approve/Reject finished goods and disposition of returned product

•     Investigate customer complaints

•     Conduct production start-up and in-process quality inspections

•     Process production batch records

•     Maintain and organize Quality and GMP related documents

•     Perform label reconciliation and label control

•     Monitor and maintain records of facility programs for climate control and pest control

•     Produce records utilizing GDP (good documentation practices)   

•     Communicate with vendors

•     Participate in third party audits and mock recalls

Requirements

•     Must possess a strong attention to detail

•     Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

•     Must be able to make decisions regarding quality standards

•     Must possess advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)

•     Must be able to regularly lift and or move up to 35 pounds on a daily basis

•     Must be able to occasionally climb ladders

•     Must be able to sit for more than four hours; stand or walk for more than four hours

•     Must be able to work the assigned hours and occasional mandatory overtime. 

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications

•     Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required

•     Prior experience working in a GMP regulated facility preferred, but not required

•     Prior experience working in quality functions within a manufacturing environment preferred
