Qualifications:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in handling the responsibilities outlined above
- Preferred: 2 – 3 years working knowledge of Faro Arm (CMM), Cam 2 Measurement, or CMM Manager
- 2 - 3 years working experience in the semiconductor industry a plus
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and inspection instructions
- Ability to understand and use standard inspection tools
- Able to communicate in oral and written form
- Good decision-making skills
- Knowledge of GD&T dimensioning
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Functions & Responsibilities:
Responsible for First-Article, final assembly, incoming, and/or in-process inspections of machined, tubing, and/or sheet metal parts and assemblies. Verify conformance to standards of product, including raw materials or purchased complete parts, to ensure the quality and reliability of products to technical specifications.
- Work directly with departmental groups to create and maintain weekly management reports to highlight key quality issues that require action
- Independently drive and direct actions with departmental groups to maintain MRB and RMA issues
- Capability of developing and implementing specialized tests and measurements on a wide variety of inspection equipment such as a Faro Arm (CMM)
- Maintain records using internal ERP system and provide specific information to identify nonconformance issues and root cause issues that can be used to reduce overall scrap rates and reduce in-process inspection rejection rates
- In-process inspection duties and/or perform incoming inspection when called upon for both purchased and customer supplied product
- Review of paperwork to ensure that all necessary documentation is included and complete
- Inspection of the finished product per published company procedures and standards
- Maintain all inspection records as required
- Perform First Article Inspection
- Customer source inspection duties
- Performs other duties as assigned
