Material Handler/Postal - MSP Part-Time
Job Summary
Prepare incoming and outgoing mail for distribution. Loads and unloads mail containers. May move equipment and operate motorized vehicles for the purpose of transporting mail.
Responsibilities
- Reviews, verifies, and scans mail and freight. Ensures mail is in suitable condition for processing.
- Safely operates vehicles for the purpose of loading/unloading mail.
- Lifts and unloads containers of mail or parcels onto equipment for transport.
- Builds and breaks down mail and freight.
- Removes containers of sorted mail or parcels and transfers them to designated areas according to established procedures.
- Accepts and checks containers of mail or parcels from large volume mailers, couriers, and contractors.
Requirements:
- Per US Postal Requirement to have. lived within the US for at least three years or more.
- Per US Postal Requirement to obtain current and valid Minnesota driver's license.
- Must be able to pass criminal background and drug screen.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Minimum Requirements
- HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
- Warehouse Agent Learning Plan
- Postal Training
- TSA - Cargo Security Awareness
- FAA - Dangerous Goods Awareness

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Able to work Indoor/Outdoor environment in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. without assistance and up to 70 lbs. with assistance
