Project Coordinator

One of the leading specialty contractors in the United States is seeking a Project Coordinator for their operations in Shakopee, MN and the surrounding Minneapolis/St. Paul area. • Actively participate in the safety plans and measures of the branch and assigned projects.
• Understand and follow all company guidelines related to the corporate safety program.
• Create and manage punch lists proactively.
• Be accountable for Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program for assigned projects.
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Gain a clear understanding of building systems and their relationship to the building process.
• Navigate and coordinate activities to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders.
• Create and implement job schedules, coordinate with field supervisors and foremen, and effectively communicate issues to negotiate the optimal position for the trade in the work sequence.
• Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance, making adjustments as necessary to maximize profits.
• Coordinate warranties and O&M’s.
• Assist in selecting vendors and coordinate materials and equipment.
• Assist in the buyout of subcontractors, issue contracts, and proactively sequence and manage subcontractor work, including billings and change orders.
• Complete and be accountable for job cost control measures through monthly Financial Analysis Worksheets (FAW’s) on assigned projects.
• Support the branch through positive customer relations and active participation in the Customer Alignment Plan.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience; 5 years of total construction experience preferred.
• Experience with Insulated Metal Panel or Single Skin Panel estimation preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or a comparable degree desired, but not required with commensurate experience.
• Ability to diagnose and process key information, recognize critical areas on the job that could impact profitability, and navigate the project away from risks and liabilities for a successful outcome.
• Ability to understand and interpret specifications and drawings for the company’s scope of work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Superb communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and moral ethics with the ability to exercise sound judgment.
• Self-starter with sharp time management and organization skills to manage assigned projects effectively.
• Motivated and positive attitude.
• OSHA Certification.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment and work with customers, building strong relationships.

• $105,000 – $130,000
