Under the general direction of the Dean of Access and Advising, the Enrollment & Financial Aid Specialist 2 coordinates Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) program services applying an equity lens. This position works in the division of Students, Equity and Success in the areas of student recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts in partnership with the Outreach and Recruitment, Communications and Marketing, Enrollment Services & Financial Aid, Advising, and other areas providing direct service. This position supports the Dean in planning and organizing SEM efforts using knowledge of student intake, aid, career exploration, and opportunity gaps in education to identify and implement programming to increase enrollment and retention. 
 
Essential Job Duties: 

  • Serve as SEM daily operational lead coordinating intake services and provide information and technical assistance to potential and current students in support of SEM program goals
  • Support outreach, internal student referral processes, and proactive student retention/completion efforts
  • Collaborate with departments leading intake and onboarding activities like New Student Orientation in support of student retention
  • Train and provide direction to employees assigned for periodic outreach campaigns
  • Monitor alignment of outreach efforts, intake programming and advising within SEM goals, identify program adjustments in response to data outcomes
  • Provide information to establish enrollment and retention goals (e.g., conversion rates and targets)
  • Evaluate opportunity gaps in the student cycle focusing on improving college access and student persistence
  • Provide other general support to the Dean and complete other duties as assigned of a similar level/nature
