Job Description:

This individual will be responsible for working closely with multiple parties to manage Tier 1 website properties for our automotive client, including rollout of new vehicle models, introducing updates to current models. This Product Specialist will collaborate with key stakeholders to gather, define & prioritize business requirements of all products, partner integrations, campaigns, etc. as
needed to successfully manage Tier 1 websites. The Product Specialist position is responsible for becoming an expert in all of our automotive products - current models and technology, upcoming models and technology and over time, all previous models and technological achievements. Importantly,
the Product Specialist is responsible for understanding the differences, and advantages, of our automotive products as compared to its competitors. The role will collaborate closely with multiple internal and external teams, including User Experience Design team, Engineering/Software Development, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Programming, Customer Care, Accounts, IT, Legal, and
other stakeholders. The Product Specialist will ensure all team members have all product information necessary to create an online user experience unique to our automotive brand.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Subject matter expert for product features and functionality for assigned automotive program/s
- Work with automotive OEM partners and internal teams to define and document new automotive feature requirements
- Actively prioritize website development needs around feature development rollout
- Maintain calendar year project timeline of all planned OEM rollouts, crafting individual RASCI project plans to meet key milestones and deadlines
- Provide high level and/or detailed team and program updates to internal stakeholders and clients on a weekly basis
- Ensure requirements meet the development strategy (agile vs hybrid) for assigned programs
- Work with OEM and internal teams to ensure product launch readiness for target dates
- Work with OEM and internal teams to define website support needs for new feature roadmap and/or enhancements including OTA updates over lifecycle of vehicle platform
- Work with OEM Account team to identify and support business rules and requirements
- Utilize periodic reports of customer metrics, use reporting and analysis to make recommendations for new features and existing feature refinement for OEM applications
- Responsible for understanding and identifying assets necessary to meet digital launch, including:
 

  • Estimation and pre-bid outlines for CGI asset creation
  • Organization and dispersion of assets to design and development teams

- Work with content manager to ensure all assets and content are uploaded to back-end platform
- Responsible for ensuring localization / translation of website assets are completed
- Work with QA and Engineering teams to ensure a successful launch of Tier 1 website updates
- Work with OEM and Engineering/IT teams to identify any post launch in-market issues that impact customers and communicate them to all impacted teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
 

Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Business, Marketing or Engineering or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of product management experience
- 3-5 years of experience working with automotive OEMs or automotive Tier1s
- 5 years of experience working with software and working in an Agile environment
 

Requirements and General Skills:
- Detail oriented with strong technical understanding and aptitude around data integration, APIs and automotive retail processes
- Strong leadership skills with ability to effectively coordinate various teams whose members are located in different business office locations
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong blend of project management and technical aptitude
- Broad-based understanding of the automotive industry, new technologies and industry trends
- Experience with projects utilizing Agile development methods
- Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff and OEM customers at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills with comfort level of presenting to senior management and OEM customers
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person
- Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects
- Domestic and International travel to OEM office locations
- Valid US Driver's License and willingness to drive Automotive Partner test vehicles as required
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S
 

Technical Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of the AEM platform is preferred
- Experience with project planning tools (Smartsheets, Trello)
- Knowledge of Acrobat and Photoshop
- Experience with using JIRA
- Knowledge of iOS and Android mobile applications and/or general software development
