The Product Line Specialist (PLS) is responsible for purchasing, product flow, and inventory management in order to maximize customer and supplier satisfaction at the most efficient cost.
Primary Responsibilities
- Purchase inventory for demand and stock for assigned product lines
- Ensure timely delivery of products from suppliers to our customers
- Liaise between suppliers and WPGA Sales team; diligently assist Sales to drive revenue
- Manage inventory in order to minimize aged/provisioning stock
- Process returns to supplier, inventory write-downs, rebates, etc. in Oracle
- Set up new items and maintain proper item cost
- Obtain quotes and manage ship-and-debit process with our suppliers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work well under pressure and adjust task prioritization to meet shifting needs
- Excellent analytical/process-oriented skills. Highly organized, self-motivated, and client-focused
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel, including VLOOKUP functions, macros, etc.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle (preferred) or SAP
- Knowledge of company products and/or distribution/supply chain management
