Job Responsibilities

• Function autonomously to conduct patient histories and physicals for complex critical, chronically ill, and acute patients.
• Order, perform, and analyze diagnostic and therapeutic tests concerning the needs of the patient, and follow up on a regular basis to ensure their needs are being adequately met.
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities to ensure the health and comfort of all patients.
• Implement measures to assist patients in regaining and sustaining physiologic endurance to include serving in the first assisting role.
• Develop treatment plans based on scientific rationale, standards of care, and professional practice guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals and monitoring the effectiveness of all interventions.
• Facilitate the staff and the patient as well as the family decision-making process by providing educational tools for self-management of acute or chronic illnesses.

Locums, Inc. is seeking Primary Care Physicians for full-time Adult Primary care services in the Finger Lakes region of New York.  Positions are for 1 year with 2, one-year extensions.  Any valid state or Federal license acceptable.

About the Opportunity:

- Period of Performance is approx. 10/1/20 to 9/30/21 with two, 1-year options

- Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. No weekends or Holidays with only occasional overtime

- Estimated 2-3 patients/hour

- Provide specific local populace with primary health care addressing chronic preventative medicine issues 

- Facilities located across the Finger Lake region of New York state 

- Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice insurance paid

Requirements:

- Active and unrestricted state or Federal license

- Board Certified/Eligible in Family Medicine

- Active and unrestricted DEA

- Active BLS certification mandatory

- Full vaccinations and immunizations

- 3 References
