Prep Cook:
- Assist the chefs by chopping vegetables & washing food items
- Ensure kitchen equipment & appliances are ready for use
- Maintain a clean & hygienic work environment at all times
- Prepare salads, salad dressings & sauces
- Gather food ingredients from the refrigerator or freezer as required by the chefs
- Ensure food is stored away properly when not in use
- Study the menu & prepare ingredients ahead of schedule
- Learn about the cooking methods & techniques employed in the kitchen
- Strong multitasking & organizational skills
- Good understanding of ingredients, recipes, & kitchen safety
- Passionate about culinary arts & creative cooking
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Familiar with general kitchen equipment & appliances
- Able to follow instructions accurately & efficiently
- Physically able to stand & move around for long periods of time
