Oversees all technical and engineering activities on a plant. Duties include overseeing the maintenance department and personnel, project development, improving plant energy efficiency by optimizing HVAC, electric, steam, water, hydraulic, and compression air systems.
Responsibilities:
Manages and monitors the operations of the Maintenance Department ensuring compliance, efficiency, and profitability. Design, implement and maintain preventative as well as predictive maintenance programs.
Manage various company projects that could include new and/or rebuilt equipment installations, refurbishment of existing equipment, as well as repositioning of and/or removal of equipment. Project oversight from scope development to completion (including specification development, purchasing, validation, review for food safety, and record maintenance).
Prepare and administer department budget within established guidelines for maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
Work with the Production Department to manage equipment and machinery maintenance programs, provide technical support where necessary.
Coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
Work with all departments within the company to identify trends and assesses opportunities to improve processes and execution.
Provide clear directions and instructions to both internal team members and stakeholders with regards to external factors, to enable them to carry out their duties effectively.
Determine the appropriate time to make advancements on projects and move on to further stages. Also, acknowledge when certain strategies are not effective and implement a change of plans.
Establish and maintain relationships with third-party consultants/suppliers/vendors. Negotiate supplier/vendor agreements where appropriate.
Motivate, direct, coach, and develop a diverse, high-performing team to meet established goals and capabilities.
Foster an environment that supports an engaged safety culture.
Responsible for internal communications and presentations related to key performance metrics, project progress updates, and ongoing program information for Leadership Review.
Sustain a consistent vision through continuous improvement and establish goals and objectives for the Maintenance department.
Allocates and manages Maintenance staff resources based upon changing needs.

Qualifications:
Engineering Degree and 3-5 years experience in a related field.
Must have previous experience working in a beverage manufacturing plant
Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite.
Good crisis leadership skills to effectively manage pressure from project challenges.
Strong understanding of Good Mfg. Practices, HACCP, Internal Auditing, etc. in a food manufacturing environment.
Experience in handling capital projects, site facilities management, and handling vendors and contractors required.
Must be able to effectively communicate, read and comprehend instructions and procedures in English.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
Exhibit good leadership skills.
Must be able to work nights and weekends if necessary.
Provide continuous improvement through critical thinking and innovative problem-solving.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with other departments.
Must be able to work 50-60 hours a week including evenings and weekends
Must attain Food Safety Training (Qualified Individual)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (frequent physical exertions, including twisting, standing, sitting, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and climbing) and be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measuring devices at distances close to the eyes.
Ability to work in various conditions with exposure to extreme heat, cold, dust, and fumes.
Work Environment:
Office and manufacturing plant working environment.
The noise level in the office is moderate. While in the plant, hearing protection is required.
When located in the plant, the environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), moderate cold and hot temperature (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to raw food ingredients (including allergens) and chemicals.
