Physical Education Teacher

What you will be doing:

• Plan and implement an instructional program in Physical Education for students in grades PK-8.
• Manage student behavior, assess and evaluate student achievement, and adjust instruction.
• Assess student abilities and adapt instructional strategies to meet educational goals.
• Utilize a variety of materials and technology to enhance learning.
• Maintain discipline and create a conducive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maximize learning opportunities.
• Continuously assess student achievement and maintain documentation for reporting purposes.
• Communicate regularly with parents to update them on student progress.
• Manage instructional time effectively to maximize student achievement.
• Ensure classroom and materials are safe, attractive, and conducive to learning.
• Participate in professional development activities and staff meetings.

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or eligible for conditional certification (30 credits in physical education or related courses).
• Valid professional teaching certificate appropriate to the subject taught.
• Knowledge of federal laws protecting students with disabilities.
• Familiarity with curriculum, methods, and equipment in Physical Education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and implement lessons based on objectives and student needs.
• Strong classroom management and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of current research and instructional theories.
• Ability to establish effective relationships with students, peers, and parents.
