Personal Care Attendant

* Great Part time job (5 hours per day) with ability to increase hours later to full time!
* Part time position also includes: PAID SICK LEAVE and PAID VACATION!
* Helping Hands for Better Living provides all COVID19 related protection for all employees (N95, KN95 and KF94 masks, gowns, gloves, face shields, hair covers, etc.).  The center also has air purification system in the central HVAC and heating system that purifies the air of viral, bacterial and fungal elements.

The duties of a Personal Care Aide include performing basic program services/assigned tasks under the direct supervision of the Program Director or members of the multidisciplinary team. These services/tasks include but are not limited to:

• • Support of and assistance with group activity and recreational programs.
  • Assistance with the provision of personal care services to participants, under the supervision of the center RN.
  • Assistance with physical and/or occupational therapy maintenance therapy services when trained by the physical and/or occupational therapist, and

    documenting all services provided on the same day these services are provided.

  • • Assisting transportation providers in helping participants get to and from the buses/taxis/vans/etc.
    • Serving the prepared meals to the participants.
    • Assisting participants during the meals, as necessary.
    • The program aide(s)/CNA(s) will perform other duties as required by the administrator, Program Director and/or their immediate supervisor. The aide(s) will report to either the center nurse or activity coordinator, depending upon their duties.
