Paving Mechanic- Specialist

Job Description:

We are a heavy equipment dealership seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Wirtgen Group Technical Specialist to add to our growing team.

The primary function of this position is to learn about and train customers on proper operations and maintenance procedures on Wirtgen or related product lines, including:

Wirtgen/RoadTech Milling machines

Wirtgen Pulverizers/Stablizers

Wirtgen Slipform paving machines

Vogele pavers and transfer devices

Hamm Asphalt rollers and soil compactors

Kleemann crushers and screening plants

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Travel to jobsites, customer locations, and branches when necessary.
• Provide assistance with demonstrations and new machine start-ups (rentals when required).
• Perform machine walk-around and service training for customer operators and mechanics.
• Assist branches with technical problems and trouble-shooting procedures.
• Assist branches with communications with Wirtgen or related product lines Personnel
• Assist branches with performance of pre-delivery inspections.
• Assist branches with diagnostic installation and training.
• Attend training sessions on Wirtgen or related Products Service, Parts and Operating training.
• Assist in arranging Service Personnel in Wirtgen or related product Training.
• Perform in-house training sessions for Service Techs.
• Perform training sessions for customers operators and Service personnel.
• Help in scheduling yearly inspections on stock units and customer machines.
• Coordinate Factory Campaigns with Division and Branch managers to insure all units are covered.
• Facilitate cooperation between on warranty issues (assist warranty department).
