Part-time Online Marketing and Social Media Internship. Earn Academic Credit & Gain Experience

Berkeley Pharma Tech is in search of two part-time Social Media & Marketing Interns to join our team and assist in support of company’s growth. The core of this role is the creation of social media content that engages new followers. Must be highly motivated, creative with the ability to be proactive and must be able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively. This position will entail supporting the needs of our business and scientific activities.

• Duration: Summer- May 22, 2023-August 11, 2023
• Location: Berkeley, CA, or work from home. You must live in the U.S.
• Hours: 12 hours per week
• Number of available positions: 2

Primary Responsibilities

• Contribute to brand building via online marketing
• Pitch ideas regarding strategic planning
• Update the company’s Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and website
• Content writing
• Edit images and texts for online social media

Minimum Experience and Skills

• High school diploma is preferred
• Currently enrolled in courses in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Creative Writing, or a relevant field
• No prior experience in social media and marketing is OK as long as the candidate is willing to learn
• Comfortable working with a multi-disciplinary team
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
• Type 40+ words per minute
• Some knowledge of the Biotechnology market is a plus
• Some experience with platforms such as Canva, Figma, Photoshop, etc. is preferred
• Company runs on SquareSpace, so experience with SquareSpace is a plus
