Paralegal

Kocian Law Group is currently seeking experienced Personal Injury Paralegals/ Legal Secretaries to join our team in our Hartford, New Britain and Manchester locations due to an increase in new business. Experience in managing a caseload of motor vehicle, workers compensation, social security, premises liability and medical malpractice cases is required
Responsibilities include: organizing file materials, sending correspondence, assisting in the preparation and service of settlement proposal documents, verifying
medical bills, liens and other collateral source information,
• Meeting with clients and other professionals to discuss details of case
• participating in internal meetings with firm attorneys in accord with firm protocol
• Preparing affidavits or other documents, such as legal correspondence, and organize and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing system
• Preparing for trial by performing tasks such as organizing exhibits
• Filing pleadings electronically
• Assisting in deposition preparation, pre-trial investigations, trial preparation, including assistance with preparation of witnesses for deposition and/or trial
• Preparing exhibits and other demonstrative evidence for use at trial
preparing settlement proposals
• Experience as a litigation paralegal and at least 2+ years significant experience in Personal Injury / Catastrophic Injury law a plus
FULL( $40,000.00- $ 65,000.00) AND PART TIME POSITIONS AVAILABLE
