Order Fulfillment Specialist - QC/Pack/Ship
The Order Fulfillment QC/Pack/Ship Specialist’s primary function is to support E commerce distribution by performing the job duty of QC/Pack/Ship operations. This involves order inspection, packaging, and shipment. All Order Fulfillment Associates are responsible for general work cell upkeep / housekeeping duties to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly work environment. The Order Fulfillment QC/Pack/Ship Specialist works on an item based transactional basis in adherence with company quotas. The Order Fulfillment QC/Pack/Ship Specialist is a full time position that works 5 days a week, 40+ hours, and the hours of work are Monday through Sunday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM +/- that typically requires working weekends during the Thanksgiving Holiday Season. Bulk Apothecary works out of a 140,000 square foot distribution center and is located in Aurora, OH.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Quality Control:
- Review all picked orders for accuracy, correct quantity, and size
Scan all picked items/orders into the inventory management system, SkuVault, using the QC function.
- Identify incorrect/short shipped items and immediately notify supervisor
- Perform a second quality check to ensure the error has been corrected
- Report duplicate, returned, damaged and cancelled orders to Order Fulfillment Leadership Packing and *Shipping:
- Packs orders to ensure the integrity of the contents while in-transit to the customer
- Responsible for shipping any and all outgoing packages or boxes
- This includes using various websites and / or computer software such as UPS, Fedex, USPS, and / or Shipstation
- Must assemble, label and complete system transaction of shipping for each individual shipment
- The majority of the volume (over 98%) includes standard online e commerce shipments
- Limited volume may include International paperwork, hazardous ingredients, or additional forms for private label accounts * Ensures all transactions are executed correctly and appropriately by status
- Status may include backorder products or refunded products Quota Expectations*:
- Quotas are tier based levels and are determined by area of work within Order Fulfillment
- Required to obtain posted minimum quota tier based on area of work within Order Fulfillment Quality Expectations*:
- Below Minimum: Period Accuracy = 97.5 %
- Minimum: Period Accuracy = 98.75%
- Expected: Period Accuracy = 99.3%
- High Performer: Period Accuracy over 99.4% * Able to perform all duties and responsibilities of an Order Fulfillment Associate
- Knowledge of all products carried by Bulk Apothecary
- Communicate warehouse issues to Supervisor / Manager ie: Misplaced products, products missing bin locations, unlabeled product, inventory discrepancies etc. * Utilizing computers, tablets, scanners, printers to fulfill customer orders
- Assist in other areas when deemed necessary by Order Fulfillment Leadership

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years experience in shipping or receiving or related warehouse positions preferred
- Ability to work alone as well as in small teams and/or groups
- Must have knowledge of basic hazmat guidelines
- Ability to lift heavy packages up to 60lbs throughout a minimum of an 8 hour day
- A preference for proficiency with email platforms and basic software (Google docs, Word, Excel)
- Ability to prepare necessary paperwork and documents, as well as read, sort, and verify packages
- Basic mathematical skills, basic reading skills
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Moderate physical activity; Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 60 pounds (Unless assigned to USPS) or standing, sitting and/or walking for more than eight hours per day
- Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors/fragrances, and/or loud noises
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to tolerate conditions associated with no air conditioning
