- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures by setting up surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions
- Assist the surgical team during the surgical procedure by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures
- Maintain a sterile field during the surgical procedure
- Count and track surgical instruments and sponges
- Assist with patient transport to and from the operating room
- Assist with cleaning and restocking the operating room after the surgical procedure
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control policies and procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited OR Tech / Surgical Tech program
- Current BLS certification
- One year of OR Tech / Surgical Tech experience in Surgical Services
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Must be able to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed
